This is a soft pastel on canvas. As with all of my works, it is sealed as soon as I finish it. The $500.00 price tag is for the individual painting but when purchased together with the painting of the bull and cow, the total cost is $1100.00.

I did this painting of the heritage breed calf after driving past a farm where there is a whole herd of Highland Heritage cattle. This breed is smaller and chunkier that most modern day cattle and is being re-introduced on many farms in my area.
